Chinese e-commerce platforms explained
Every listing in the ZentBuy Spreadsheet traces back to one of three marketplaces. Knowing which one you are buying from tells you most of what you need about price and seller type.
Taobao
Consumer marketplaceChina's largest consumer marketplace. Individual sellers, retail pricing, Alipay escrow and strong buyer protection — and by far the widest selection.
- Widest selection
- Retail pricing
- Individual sellers
1688
Wholesale platformAlibaba's B2B side. Factory-direct pricing sits well below retail, but some sellers set a minimum order quantity, so a single unit is not always possible.
- Factory-direct prices
- Possible MOQs
- Alibaba-backed
Weidian
Mobile marketplaceA mobile-first marketplace where a lot of smaller fashion and streetwear sellers operate. Useful for niche items you will not find on the bigger platforms.
- Fashion & streetwear
- Smaller sellers
- Mobile-first
How to buy from the ZentBuy Spreadsheet
Four steps from the search box to a parcel at your door.
Search or filter
Type what you want, or narrow the grid with the category filter and the brand chips until the listings look right.
Open the listing
The product page shows every photo the seller supplied, the price in your currency, the source platform and the seller behind it.
Hand it to ZentBuy
The buy button opens the item inside ZentBuy with the product already loaded — no copying links, no guessing variants.
Ship it home
ZentBuy buys the item, receives it at their warehouse and shoots QC photos, then forwards it on the shipping line you pick.

Using this page
Filtering, currencies, pagination and what the platform badges mean.
How do I narrow the grid down to one category?
Use the category dropdown in the filter bar; it maps onto the 11 categories this site keeps. Each of them also has its own page under /category/, which is the better link to bookmark or share — the dropdown is a filter on this page, the category page is a page in its own right.
Can I see prices in my own currency?
Yes. Listings are stored at the seller's CNY price and converted on the fly into the currency you pick in the filter bar. Treat the converted figure as an indicative conversion — rates were last updated 2026-09-18, and the number that counts is what ZentBuy charges at checkout once your shipping line and payment processing are added (ZentBuy advertises 0% markup on the item price itself).
How do I get to the rest of the listings?
This page shows up to 100 listings at a time. The numbered links under the grid are ordinary links — every page has its own URL, so you can bookmark page 7, open pages in new tabs, or use the browser back button without losing your filters.
How is the grid sorted?
Listings with the most recorded purchases come first, then the most-viewed items, then the newest additions. If a creator pays to promote a listing on this site it can move up the grid — that says nothing about the quality of the product, so read the photos and the seller before you order.
What is the difference between Taobao, 1688 and Weidian?
Taobao is the big consumer marketplace: the widest selection, retail pricing, strong buyer protection. 1688 is Alibaba’s wholesale side — cheaper per unit, but some sellers set a minimum order quantity. Weidian is mobile-first and is where a lot of the smaller fashion and streetwear sellers operate. The badge on each card tells you which platform a listing came from.
Are the photos on the cards QC photos?
No. The images here are the seller's own listing photos. QC photos are free, taken at the warehouse after purchase (Warehouse & Inspection step) — they are taken after you place the order, so you can see the actual item before it ships.
